One very fascinating thing about the Filipino language is that two people can actually have a sensible conversation with a mere repetition of the syllable 'ba'.

In an elevator:

Pinoy 1: Bababa ba?
Pinoy 2: Bababa.

This whole scenario is literally translated as:

Filipino 1: Going down, is it?
Filipino 2: Going down.

Bababa. Hahaha!
